When After Digital and Peppered merged in April 2023, it brought together a wealth of experience and complementary expertise into a single organisation – CultureSuite.
On the one hand, you have strategic insights and design finesse from After Digital who are no strangers to delivering bespoke websites for some of the biggest cultural organisations such as The Old Vic in London and the Honolulu Museum of Art in Hawaii. On the other hand, you have the technical brilliance of Peppered who have developed a website platform that specifically serves arts and culture venues. With its built-in integrations, wide range of automation tools and accessibility best practices, it’s made to help venues boost ticket sales and secure funding.
Much work has been done to consolidate the two brands in the past year, and there’s still more to do to help make digital more sustainable for arts and culture venues.
I sat down with Coen van der Poll, founder of Peppered and CEO of CultureSuite, and David Johnstone, founder of After Digital and CGO of CultureSuite, to hear more about the merger and CultureSuite ambitions. We talk about what arts and culture mean to them, how they met, and how CultureSuite aims to change the way venues look at their website technology.
